Get ready to connect with IUGO! Offering a mix of social events and professional development opportunities, IUGO offers everything you need to build your personal and professional networks. While our first several events will be held in downtown Nashua, future events will rotate throughout the Greater Nashua area.
Social Events
Throughout the summer of 2007, IUGO will hold monthly social events designed to provide opportunities for Young Professionals to establish and expand their social and professional networks with each other. These social events will rotate among various venues throughout Nashua, with free hors d’oeuvres and drink specials provided by the venues. Each event will have a very limited program, in an effort to maximize the relaxed and informal networking atmosphere at each venue. Door prizes and various event takeaways will be available at these social events.
Professional Events
Starting in the fall of 2007, IUGO will build upon the success of its social programs by providing programs focusing on the professional side of our members. IUGO members will have the opportunity to attend events facilitated by special guest speakers and experts, who will talk about issues that are specific to Young Professionals today.
These professional events will allow Young Professionals to learn more about:
- how to negotiate salary increases and promotions
- how to sharpen one’s presentation skills
- how to purchase a first home
- how and where to secure capital funding for entrepreneurial ventures
- how to refine one’s management skills
- how to present one’s self in an interview or company function
These are just a few of the programs you can expect to find at upcoming IUGO professional events. These events will be very different from social events, in that they will be formal, structured presentations.
These professional events will occur every other month, and will rotate venues throughout the city of Nashua.
